Apparently our contemporary decorating tastes do not fit Maria's style. We were visiting Ray's aunt today who has floral print fabrics throughout her house. Maria first noticed the curtains (which were beautiful, by the way) and told me to look at those pretty curtains that she really liked. Later she complimented the toilet seat cover, which also had a floral print. These are the first decorating comments I think I've heard from her. Maybe she'll give way to her girly girl bent after all...
I was thinking about letting her pick a new decorating theme for her room in a year or so. I thought we might go the princess route, but it looks like floral may be more attractive. Fine with me...it will take longer for her to outgrow!
