Two little amusements from me:
The acappella group that I helped start 3 years ago and have been singing in since not only won a competition recently but now has a cd out as well! I was able to give some family members recordings we had done two years ago around winter break but this is a spanking new product, recorded and put together in the last month or so. You can listen to clips on our MySpace account (generally more up to date than our actual website) and if you so desire, there's a button to take you straight to Paypal to get your own copy. Of course if it would make you more comfortable to avoid the online shopping and you still want one, just let me know and I'll arrange it promptly.http://www.myspace.com/genuineimitationku
In other news, I had an interview with Teach for America on Monday which I think went pretty well (I'll hear for sure on ol' Maundy Thursday) despite a few... technical difficulties. Teach for America is a program that trains and places recent outstanding graduates in the most troubled schools as teachers. (More at www.teachforamerica.org if you're interested) The interview was pretty rigorous and went from 9 am-5 pm including a 5-minute sample teaching lesson. Of course I've been preparing for over a month for the interview and was up at the crack of dawn to make sure I was ready. It's always in the details... apparently I taught my whole sample lesson with my fly down. And to top it off, I got home after the interview and realized my shirt was on backwards. I don't know that either was noticable, but it's given me some laughs at least...

No, just a rather plain sleeveless shell under my jacket. Thankfully.=)
