Whew

Just briefly..

-I'm now officially a graduate student at University of Memphis working toward a Masters in Teaching.
-Hard week at school, one of the teachers said that others thought I'd quit before the week was up. Ha. They know not the Shannon and her inability to quit, even to her detriment.
-FRIDAY!! Three friends from KU are roadtripping tonight to spend the long weekend with me. Perfect, heavenly timing.
-I'm singing with the Memphis Chamber Choir (which accompanies the Memphis Boy Choir, a tradition of 15-20 years) and the Rhodes College MasterSingers Chorale, both of which have been absolutely therapeutic for the first three weeks of insanity.
-There are a number of amazing, wonderful, loving people among KIPP, Teach for America and my music groups who are helping me through. Jane, a fifth grade teacher has been my rescuer a number of times and has been keeping me sane.
